What We Can Do for You

De-shedding

De-shedding is essential for maintaining a dog’s health and comfort, particularly for breeds with heavy shedding or double coats. Regular grooming not only reduces the amount of loose fur in your home but also helps prevent mats, tangles, and skin irritations. Brushing your dog regularly promotes healthy skin, reduces the risk of parasites, and stimulates circulation, which helps to keep their coat shiny and soft. To take your dog’s grooming routine to the next level, consider adding a Madra Mor Mud Spa to your usual session. This luxurious treatment deeply nourishes the skin, soothing any irritation while effectively removing loose fur without causing discomfort. The unique blend of ingredients in Madra Mor mud hydrates and detoxifies, leaving your dog with a soft, glossy coat while safely removing shedding fur. The Madra Mor Mud Spa is the perfect way to pamper your dog and give them an even more thorough, relaxing grooming experience.

Hand-stripping

Hand stripping is a specialized technique that involves pulling out the dead coat of certain breeds by hand. It helps maintain the texture and color of the coat, as well as promotes healthy hair growth. Hand stripping is particularly beneficial for wire-haired breeds like terriers because it prevents the natural look and texture of their fur. This method allows for new, healthy hair to grow in, keeping the coat in top condition. Its a skilful process that requires patience and expertise but results in a beautifully groomed dog with a well-maintained coat. Get in touch now!

Matting

Nail Trims

Nail trimming is a crucial part of dog grooming that helps maintain a dog's overall health and comfort. Keeping your dog's nails at the right length prevents discomfort and potential injuries, like splitting or breaking. Regular nail trimming can also help avoid issues with walking or running, as overly long nails can affect your dogs gait. With the right techniques and tools, we can ensure a positive experience for your pooch, making it easier for you to keep up with this essential booking task. Get in touch now!

Dealing with matted dogs is a challenging but important part of the grooming process. Mats can cause discomfort and skin issues, as they trap dirt, moisture, and can pull on the skin. When grooming a matted dog, we must be gentle and patient, often using specialized tools to carefully work through the tangles without hurting the dog, this can add up to an extra 2 hours onto your appointment which will require an extra charge for our extra time. In some cases, if the matting is severe, we are required to shave the coat down to ensure the dog is comfortable and healthy, this is not a choice we make.. this is all part of the animal welfare act. Regular grooming and maintenance can help prevent matting, making the grooming experience much smoother and calmer for both your pooch and us as groomers. Get in touch now!

Breed standard cuts

A standard cut on a breed dog is specific grooming style that adheres to the breed's established grooming guidelines, ensuring that the dog looks as close to the breed standard as possible. From a groomer's perspective, achieving a standard cut requires not only technical skills with clippers and scissors but also a deep understanding of the breed's characteristics, coat texture, and desired apperance. It involves careful attention to detail, as each breed has uniquw features that must be highlighted or maintained, such as the shape of the head, the length of the legs, and the overall body silhouette. This skill also includes knowing how to handle different dogs types, managing the dogs temperament during the grooming process, and ensuring the final look is both aesthetically pleasing and practical of the dogs lifestyle.

Pet trims

From a groomer's perspective, pet trims focus on practically and comfort for the pet while maintaining a neat and tidy appearance. Unlike breed-specific cuts, pet trims are more about finding a balance between ease of maintenance and the dog's individual needs. This skill involves assessing the dog's coat type, lifestyle, and any specific requests from the owner to create a trim that suits both you and your pooch. Groomers must be adept as using various tools, such as clippers and scissors, to achieve a clean look while ensuring the dog's comfort throughout the process. Additionally, it requires a keen eye for detail to make sure the trim enhance your pooches natural features whole being functional for everyday life.
