Grooming Marvellous – Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with Grooming Marvellous, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Appointments & Cancellations

  • We kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full grooming fee.

  • Missed appointments (“no-shows”) will also be charged at the full rate.

2. Matting & Coat Condition

  • Matting fees apply from £20 depending on the severity and time required.

  • If a shave-off is required due to matting, Grooming Marvellous will act in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Your dog’s comfort and wellbeing will always take priority — welfare over vanity.

  • Additional charges may apply for flea treatment, extended grooming sessions, or difficult coat conditions.

3. Pet Health & Behaviour

  • Owners must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, recent operations, ongoing treatments, or behavioural issues before the grooming session.

  • Grooming Marvellous reserves the right to refuse a groom if we believe it is unsafe or unsuitable for your pet’s wellbeing.

  • Aggressive or severely stressed dogs may not be groomed for their own safety and that of our staff.

4. Late Arrivals & Collections

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a shorter groom or the appointment being rescheduled.

  • Dogs must be collected promptly after their groom unless prior arrangements have been agreed.

5. Liability

  • While every care is taken, grooming is carried out entirely at the owner’s risk.

  • Grooming Marvellous will not be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions, allergic reactions, or injuries arising from external factors outside our control.

  • Photographs may be taken of your dog before/after grooming for our portfolio and social media. Please inform us if you do not wish your pet’s image to be used.

6. Payment

  • Full payment is required on collection of your dog.

  • We accept cash, bacs and card payments.

  • Information may only be shared if required by law or for safeguarding reasons.

Data Storage & Security

  • Your information is stored securely and only accessed by staff when necessary.

  • We keep records for as long as required for business and legal purposes.

Your Rights

  • You can request to see what information we hold about you.

  • You can ask us to correct or delete your information (unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons).

  • You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
